Butterfly project

Assignment :

1. In Photoshop open a new document. Drag the butterfly into the document Save it as Original. 2. Open another document save it as Transformed. 3.Using the selection tool select the butterfly in from the Original file and copy and paste it into the new document Transformed three times. Scale, rotate and make it transparent. Transform and Repeat this image (Scale, Skew, Rotate) in a creative way in order to express meaning. Illustrate the Principle of Design - Harmony Use the Selection Tools Selection Tools> The Quick Selection tool In addition you also should use the following tools: 1. Edit>Transform>Scale or Rotate 2. Opacity 4. You should have at least 10 layers Upload your composition to your blog and answer the following questions once you have completed the assignment.

How did you use the transform tool to change at least one selection/layer?


I used the transformation tool to rotate one of the butterflies to make them appear to look upward


How did you use the move tool to move selections from one section to another?


I used the move tool to move all the butterfly layers on top of each other and move the photo around.


How did you use change layer positions?


I used to change the layer position by adding multiple layers to make the butterflies look like they're in motion.


Did you work independently, or ask the teacher or fellow student for help?


I worked independently and did not ask for help.


What was your color scheme?


There wasn't much of a color scheme just the butterfly photo.


What were the requirements for assignment?


The requirements for this assignment was to use the transform tool to create a new image using the original image which was the butterfly.


What is unique about your composition?


I added multiple butterflies and put another on top of the original butterfly making it transparent in order to make it look like it’s moving or to show movement.


Describe the Element of Art and Principle of Design in your composition?

What does your work symbolize?


I believe I used form for that to symbolize a butterfly’s movement.
